Angel of Mercy to our Husbands

This is very interesting, anyone interested in joining me on this journey? Our husbands need us to be thier biggest cheerleader and this is a great way to start or to continue - they are the leaders of our families, our churches, they have responsibilities we can't fathom. Let's lift them up and be a constant encouragement to them. Who's joining me?
Click the link below and let's get started.

Quiverfull - Jeub Style

I love the ministry of the Jeub family. I check their blog throughout the week and find them very honest and humble. Recently a photo journalist from Reuters came and observed them for a few days. The Reuters' journalist created a photo slide show with narration from Chris and Wendy Jeub explaining the term Quiverfull.

I am not sure how to find the video I have embedded so you will have to go to the Jeub's site to see the video. Unfortunatley, I am not the technical one in the family my wonderful husband is. I will have to consult with him regarding the whole embedding dilemma.

Living the quiverfull life is truly putting everything in God's hands. I think the womb is one of the last things people give over to God. Sure many say God is in control of their life but they still will do what ever it takes to keep from having another child.
The Bible tells us that children are a blessing and blessed is the man whose quiver is full. Why do we accept the blessing of money, authority, wisdom, things, ..... but after a few children say please don't bless me with anymore - I am done. We would never say that about the other blessings God chooses to bestow on us.
My favorite quote is from Wendy, she says:
" ...What's really important at the end of your life? Is it this great career, running around chasing money or that you traveled all over the world and saw everything? No, it's family. Family is the most important thing."
Her words are exactly the way I choose to live my life. Time with family is so important and something we can never get back no matter how hard we try. We can never truly make up for lost time with our husband or children. The Jeub family continually encourages me in the way I choose to live life with my family.

Some of My Favorite Quotes

Here are just a few of my favorite quotes. I started collecting quotes when I was in college. It is interesting to go through them and see what I found interesting during that time in my life. I find it fascinating that the quotes I started collecting 17 years ago still pertain to my life and desires. God was molding me for today and that amazes me! Some people collect stamps I collect thoughts.

"... they need your heart knitted to theirs as they make their choices and hammer out their convictions. they need you to help them think about the clothing they wear, the types of people they date and the peer pressure they face..."
- Dennis Rainey

Real parents are "all there" - not just "there" as much as possible.

First Entry

Well, this is my first entry. I am not sure exactly what I am doing but I will do it anyway. I have a passion for God, my family and my country. I am very saddened to see society diminish all three. God has become offensive, the family is considered a burden, and many in our country are putting their hope in a man who is going around the world trying to get everyone to like him.
I don't know how God can be offensive. It is He who gave us our families and the freedom we enjoy in this country. He loved us enough to send his son to Earth and then make him the ultimate sacrifice.
Family is a wonderful gift from God. It saddens me when I hear adults speak of their children as burdens, or their spouse as "one more person to take care of". There is a problem when children get along better with outsiders rather than thier own siblings. Parents no longer foster the relationship between siblings. They think they need outside socialization, when God gave them all the socialization they need right in the home. God gave us family for a reason, He knew we needed someone genetically connected to us.
Real freedom is knowing God and who He is. Liberty doesn't really come until one accepts that He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross for each and every one of us. Those who rely on the president of the United States to give liberty are disillusioned. People need to read and learn our founding documents. Liberty is endowed by our Creator, it is not given by any man. One must remember that if man is the one who gives freedom then it is man who can take it away. When one knows liberty is from God, no one can revoke it.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. IICor. 3:17

Maybe this first post should have been called liberty?
